The 5th of July 107 was a black day for Amarr. Our beloved Emperor was taken from us by the hand of an assassin.
On the second anniversary of his death, let us gather together to remember the man and celebrate his life.
We will not forget.

Being a bit pessimistic about the succession and future of the imperial system, eh?
Guess even the most boneheaded zealots can catch the hints after all...
What's this? Star Fraction? Nitpicking over semantics? How totally unlike them to do something like that.
Last can mean "most recent" as well as "final". Talking about last week does not imply a belief that time has ended. Likewise, talking about the last Emperor does not imply an end to our political system.
I think that the meaning of the poster was clear enough to those who attempt to understand it rather than attempt to use it to make a cheap shot in the name of PR.

The Remembrance service is expected to last approximately three hours.
More details will be released once it is under way.

I understand it states clearly that it will start outside the station at 21:00 hrs correct?
TEC
It asked people who wished to attend to gather outside the station at 21:00.
At precisely 21:00, we commenced inviting people gathered outside the station into the chapel.
I'm still not sure why members of your alliance were complaining about the "late start" shortly after 20:00 though.
Another case of poor reading comprension perhaps?

My thanks to all those who attended the memorial service.
I shall write a full report on it in this thread tomorrow.
Transcripts of some of the speeches that were delivered in the chapel will be posted in separate threads.

And now, as promised, a full report on the evening's events.
As the clock on the wall of the PIE Inc Officers' Mess struck eighteen, assembled representatives of the loyalist community gathered for the Doriam II Memorial Banquet.
The officers enjoyed a simple, yet finely prepared meal consisting of mushroom vol au vent followed by bouef en croute with creamed spinach, Ealurian asparagus and Dam-Torsad Royal new potatoes. Dessert consisted of Kadorian rhubarb tart with custard.
After allowing a suitable period of time to digest the meal, the attendees started migrating towards the Chapel of Saint Ageroth.
While all of this was occurring, ships belonging to loyal subjects of the Empire started to gather outside the station in response to our call, along with vessels belonging to less savoury elements. It is worth noting at this point that the Star Fraction had declared war on PIE Inc the previous evening.
Shortly after 20:00 Star Fraction pilots started to jeer the Empire, loudly proclaiming that the ceremony was late starting due to their presence. Clearly, they believe that being able to tell the time is not a skill that will be required should their anarchist revolution actually achieve anything other than trying to make themselves look important!
At the publicised time of 21:00 loyal subjects who had gathered outside the station as requested were invited to join us in the Chapel of St Ageroth for a series of talks on the life of Emperor Doriam II and also for prayers. Some of these speeches will be published elsewhere. The degree of respect given to others in the chapel was in stark contrast to the heckling of the self-proclaimed enemies of the Empire left outside. This stage of the evening ended with a period of quiet contemplation.
We had decided that the third part of the evening would be a display of Amarrian Military might. We had planned for this either to be a parade over the skies of Amarr Prime, or for it to be a ritual decimation of the those who wish to see the Empire fall.
The presence of large numbers of not only Star Fraction ships, but also vessels from the Ushra'Khan alliance made the second option not only a possibility but a neccessity.
The combined loyalist fleet assembled outside the Emperor Family Academy at approximately 23:00 and set off in search of the terrorists and anarchists. By now, the CVA's counter-declaration against the Star Fraction had also come into effect. Battle was joined soon after.
Unfortunately, the time of the battle coincided with a major solar storm in the Amarr system, and solar flares knocked out the computer systems of a great many of the ships on both sides. Heavy losses were reported on both sides.
While a complete kill count is still being assembled and PIE will not be publishing detailed statistics anyway, it is believed that the loyalist fleet gained the upper hand during the fight.
Shortly after the battle, not only did the Star Fraction retract their war against PIE, but the Ushra'Khan also retracted theirs against the CVA.
Amarr Victor.

Reflect on this truth and be a wiser man.
The truth that you should be reflecting on is that so long after that first war, the only way that SF can even compete with the loyalists on the battlefield is to team up with the Ushra'Khan.
And that's without ships from two of the loyalist alliances even being able to freely shoot at you.
How does it feel to have to rely on what was until a few weeks ago a territorialist alliance?

I'm speaking in the broader sense of the 1000 ship kills we have inflicted on the amarrian bloc over the last few months Rodj. The utter rout of PIE and reducing you to an organisation that only dares undock when protected by the CVA (itself a force that on paper outnumbers us 10-1). This engagement though very impressive was simply the last nail in the coffin of your status as loyalist corporation capable of fighting your own wars.
Its payback for your interference in the Mito conflict. Its a demonstration of the weakness of nationalism.
And ultimately - its a strident condemnation of your own misplaced faith.
Oh not that tired old line again please.
If you routed us so comprehensibly last time, why do you consider us such a threat to your plans that you had to declare war on us again?
Or could it be that earlier claims of total victory were in fact completely false?
The same as your claims that PIE could not even muster more than three pilots at once were proven to be false.
The same as your claims that PIE was unwilling to risk its carriers on the front line and only ever deployed fighters from within the safety of a starbase forcefield were proven to be false.
Need I go on?
And if nationalism is so weak, why did you rely so heavily on an alliance that until recently was attempting to create it's own nation in Providence?
As for fighting our own wars, to my knowledge we are the only loyalist group currently actively engaging both the Electus Matari and the Fateweavers alliances. An what's more, we're doing pretty well against them.
